A cozy afternoon delight, our cat is 2-year-old Chanel, our recent “foster failure.” As a local Humane Society volunteer, we agreed to foster her during the COVID-19 pandemic. Within a week, we knew that we would have to adopt her! She is sweet and loves to nap on the top of the recliner.
This first photo captures a moment of tranquility featuring Chanel, a black and white tuxedo cat. She is curled up on the top cushion of a cream-colored leather sofa, with her body facing the camera while she rests her head on the sofa's edge. The blinds in the background allow soft light to filter through, illuminating her fur and casting a gentle glow. Chanel's eyes are partially closed, suggesting a state of relaxation or the beginning of a catnap.
And then there's her “brother” Jazz, our 10-year-old Maine Coon mix. He is also a rescue; we’ve had him for five years. He also loves napping on our couch when he’s not busy chasing Chanel around the house.
In the second photo, Jazz, a majestic tabby Maine Coon with a bushy tail and pronounced stripes, is lounging atop a tan sofa. Her body is stretched out along the back cushion, perfectly contouring the sofa's shape. Above her, a painting of a serene winter landscape hangs on the wall, complementing the peaceful atmosphere. Jazz's expression is one of contentment and ease, with her gaze slightly directed towards the camera, inviting viewers to share in her moment of leisure.
