Amstaff Terrier, Border Collie, Boxer, Chihuahua, and Lapponian Herder. Hi Heloise, please meet our 7-month-old rescue pup, Bia. Her name, which translates to “Goddess of Force and Power,” is based on Greek mythology. (One of her siblings was Nike, the Goddess of Victory.) We rescued Bia from a shelter in Northern Virginia that works tirelessly to save dogs from kill shelters in the South. We lost our two precious dachshunds within three months of each other earlier this year, which left a massive hole in our hearts, one we thought we could not recover from. Once we decided to adopt again, we found Bia, and she brought us more joy than we thought we’d ever see again. She is a true mix of Amstaff Terrier, Border Collie, Boxer, Chihuahua, and Lapponian Herder! Bia is bright and so sweet, and her favorite things are fetching, giving kisses, and snuggling in our laps. We are truly blessed to have been chosen by Bia as her forever home.
